Job Description: Office/Studio Manager
Hearst Magazines is looking for an Office/Studio Manager to join our close-knit team in Birmingham, Alabama. The ideal candidate is super organized, resourceful, energetic, and a master at juggling the needs of multiple groups (Country Living, Veranda, and The PioneerWoman.com teams).
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do (please bullet-point the job responsibilities here; adapt the length of the list as needed):
• Provide general administrative support to Birmingham-based staffs, from checking in visitors to facilitating maintenance requests to filing expense reports as needed.
• Oversee studio operations, including managing the photography calendar, overseeing set construction, and keeping studio tidy.
• Manage prop inventory.
• Sort mail and track incoming/outgoing packages.
• Assist photographer(s) with equipment inventory and repairs.
• Assist editors with shipping returns as needed.
• Maintain Office seating plan as well as coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employees.
• Stock office supplies and pantry.
• Respond to reader mail.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who you are:
• You have knowledge of basic office programs, such as Outlook and Word.
• You feel comfortable working with outside vendors, whether it's an IT field tech, printer repair rep, or property manager.
• You know how to get things done! If it's broken, you fix it.
• You have top-notch (like, next-level) organization skills and attention to detail.
• You have experience in office management or a related field.
This role requires the position to be located in Birmingham, Alabama with an in-office presence.
