Esquire is seeking a Social Media Editor with strong video content creation and writing skills, a talent for audience growth, and a fresh outlook on how Esquire can leverage social platforms to push our brand forward and join our social media department. The ideal candidate has an interest in shooting social-first video content and a knack for creating voicy posts that help drive loyalty, subscription, affiliate revenues, and engagement. The ideal candidate will also enjoy collaborating with Esquire's network to build original, social-first stories. Essential skills for this position include creativity, agility, and attention to detail–as well as a deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X trends.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Help develop and execute an innovative, cross-platform strategy to grow Esquire's social presence, reader loyalty, and membership base
• Pitch social-first stories across fashion, entertainment, political, and more
• Attend industry events (fashion shows, press junkets, premieres, sporting events, etc.) to capture on-the-ground content
• Post to Esquire's Facebook, Instagram, X, Reddit, and TikTok accounts
• Work across teams (art, edit, style, ecomm, and video) to ideate and produce engaging social-first initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
• 4 years of professional digital media experience, strong editorial judgment, and both social video and writing skills
• Someone who loves spotting and trying the newest social trends
• Someone who knows how to use social platforms (including TikTok, and other emerging platforms) and tools like SocialFlow, Google Analytics, and Dash Hudson to help performance and engagement inform content
• A team player and lover of fast-paced, collaborative environments
• Someone with a sense of humor and a clear, creative snappy writing style
• Organized, enthusiastic, and solutions-oriented
This position is based in the NYC office a minimum of 3 days a week.
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Salary/Benefits
$67.00 - 77.00 per year
The base salary for this role is $67-$77k The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
