This is a Full Time Job
WBBH-NBC2 and WZVN-ABC7, the Hearst owned NBC station and ABC operated station in Fort Myers, Florida has an opening for an Administrative Assistant/Programming Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you will oversee programming, manage viewer relationships, and support the Vice President Station Manager. This is a highly visible position requiring a proactive individual with outstanding organizational and communication skills. You will report to the Vice President Station Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administrative Support:
• Maintain calendar with heavy scheduling needs
• Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements
• Prepare expense reports
• In person attendance required
• Answer incoming calls, greet guests and take messages
• Other duties as assigned
• Programming Management:
• Oversee all station programming functions (local, syndication, and network)
o Scheduling, planning, and acquisition in collaboration with the Station Manager and HTV programming
o Maintain WOMS program files in collaboration with the Director of Sales
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Manage compliance with all FCC quarterly reporting
• Other required reporting
• Internal Coordination:
• Coordination of and advisor on behalf of Station Manager to the WBBH/WZVN Employee Engagement Committee
• Planning and preparation for station meetings and events
Qualifications:
• Experience:
o Prior working experience in a fast-paced office environment
o Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Education: Will consider any of the following: Educational background or experience in public relations or communications; military experience is welcomed and will be considered
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Basic understanding of Nielsen ratings, ratings tracking/trending, and research
