The Music Research team is responsible for the submission of all music cue sheets generated by Disney's various production teams from ABC Studios and ABC Cable Networks Group to Walt Disney Studios which includes all Theatrical releases, Disney Parks & Resorts, and DCPI (Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media).
We are currently seeking a Music Research Specialist to join our team and work on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
• Review, edit, revise and sometimes create cue sheets for distribution to performing rights organizations and cue sheet stakeholders
• Set up productions in cue sheet program and train new users
• Conduct song research for both pre-existing and new works
• Liaise with internal and external cue sheet stakeholders (i.e., production, music production, music BA, music editors, music licensors etc.)
• Identify interpolations of music themes, confirm accurate music usage and timings
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years in the music business
• Proficiency in standard PRO cue sheet protocol
• Experience and/or a working knowledge of music publishing, copyright, performing rights and licensing
• Detail oriented with outstanding time management skills
• Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Experienced researcher
• Able to work under the pressure of external and internal deadlines
• Preferred experience with RapidCue and Soundmouse
