Ballpark Entertainment Production Apprentice

Summary: The Ballpark Entertainment Production Apprentice will assist the Houston Astros Entertainment team in daily operations, including content setup, live productions, and feature distributions throughout the season. This one-year role requires experience with control room setup and software, including Adobe Creative Cloud, EVS, and Ross Products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and organize production content for each game and pre-produced content.
• Support live production elements for Astros games and special events, including cameras and Ross Xpression setup.
• Capture, manage, and distribute control room footage using Adobe Premiere.
• Perform assigned crew roles during Astros home games and special events.
• Collaborate creatively on special projects and perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Production, Cinematography, Communications, or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in live production, preferably within a professional or collegiate sports program.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially Adobe Premiere.
• Familiarity with Ross Products, including Xpression, Tessera, Accuity, and/or Carbonite Switcher.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and project coordination abilities.
• Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment: The role is based in an office and stadium setting, with moderate to loud noise levels. Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions and lift up to 20 pounds.
Physical Demands: This position requires standing, sitting, walking, reaching, and physical mobility, with a vision requirement for close vision and focus adjustments.
