This role reports to the Manager of Digital Marketing and is responsible for the day-to-day execution of all advertising campaigns and assisting with the club's overall media strategy. This role will assist with digital marketing efforts including email campaigns, website management, and growing the MLB Ballpark app.
This role will also be responsible for the Texas Children's Houston Open overall media strategy including digital advertising planning, social media, and webpage design.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategy
• Assist with the creation of the overall omnichannel media strategy across all digital touchpoints.
• Engage in research efforts to identify most effective channels and methods to reach a targeted audience including the use of market research tools/data both internally and externally.
• Lead the overall media strategy for the Houston Open.
Digital
• Maintain content on Astros.com and Houstonopengolf.com to ensure both sites are up-to-date and aligned with all organizational priorities.
• Submit digital creative requests and project manage timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
• Create and edit photos, graphics and promotional tiles as needed to support promotional schedule and giveaways.
• Work with MLB to traffic web assets on astros.com to help drive ticket sales and other initiatives.
• Track, analyze and report the performance of digital, email and social campaign effectiveness for both Astros and the Houston Open.
• Coordinate implementation of other digital needs related to major campaigns (i.e. site pages, data form creation, etc.).
• Assist with scheduling mobile push notifications, text alerts and check in offers.
• Partner with other Astros and Houston Open departments (including various Foundations) to support Astros.com, Houstonopengolf.com and other web needs.
• Work with MLB Marketing to optimize fan interaction, usability and growth on all mobile platforms (i.e. MLB Ballpark app).
Email
• Project manage all in-bound requests for email support by working cross-functionally to gather accurate information, data, and content to ensure a timely delivery.
• Coordinate with MLB Digital Producer to draft, schedule and proof all out-bound emails.
• Collaborate with Analytics to implement targeted campaign efforts.
• Use campaign platform software to create and send Astros service emails and all Houston Open emails.
• Provide support for ad-hoc campaign creation, updates and reporting.
TV and Radio
• Partner with Broadcast manager to deliver ads/live reads to TV and Radio partners.
• Write TV and Radio live read copy for both in and out of game.
Social Media (Houston Open specific)
• Own and operate the social media handles for the Texas Children's Houston Open.
• Develop and execute a social content calendar each calendar year.
• Work with the Astros Golf Foundation on social sponsorship deliverables and provide creative solutions to execute or drive additional social sponsor revenue.
• Work with the PGA to understand social media initiatives and trends to help amplify awareness and follower base.
• Responsible for the follower growth and integration of new channels as they prove valuable.
Website (Houston Open specific)
• Facilitate updates and overall management of the Houston Open website.
• Work with Astros Golf Foundation for sponsor website obligations and implementation.
• Provide scheduled site analytics to leadership and sponsors.
• Responsible for site traffic growth on an annual basis.
Other
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• During Texas Children's Houston Open, timeframes will assist overall team with activities such as ticketing and credentialing.

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
• 1 years of experience in special events or marketing; sports or entertainment experience preferred
• Must have a working knowledge of baseball and golf
• SEO Copywriting experience for digital and email is a plus
• Strong research and analytical skills, with an ability to identify trends, draw valid conclusions and make insightful recommendations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – can interact well with all organizational levels internally and externally
• Impeccable grammar and copywriting ability with a strong creative sensibility
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Power BI is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment.
