Part Time Paid Internship
We are seeking a Drama Development intern who will be an exceptional addition to our growing team. You will impact the productivity and efficiency of the Content team. If you are someone who is an avid content-consumer, can form and express a creative opinion, is eager to learn, shadow, and grow, and who is ready to dive into any challenge head-first, then this is a phenomenal role for you!
If selected for this role, you will report directly to the Executive Director, Content Development Drama at Hulu.
What You Will Do
We are looking for a diligent, creative, curious, and an outside-the-box thinker!
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Supporting Executives and Assistants with grids, project tracking, occasional phone and calendar help, meeting setups and miscellaneous general daily administrative tasks.
• Supporting the Coordinator in various administrative tasks and department wide projects.
• Covering IP (reading books/scripts/articles, listening to podcasts, watching documentaries/films, etc.) and providing write-ups. Tracking stories and people that could be of interest to the development team.
• Distribution of various documents and media internally.
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Experience using Airtable and Google Suite and MS Office Suite, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry.
• Previous internship experience within a related field.
• An interest in scripted television and hunger to learn about development and production.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Responsible, dependable, and organized with excellent communication/writing skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments by deadline.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in covering phone lines for executives and/or senior leadership.
• Knowledge of current series on Hulu and other platforms/networks
Education
• A student studying in their senior year or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are August/September 2024 through December 2024/January 2025
• Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
• Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, California area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
