Insomniac - Seasonal Lighting Project Manager, Elevated Experience
Job Summary:
Insomniac is looking for a Lighting Project Manager for Elevated Experiences. This position will report to the BOH Manager, Elevated Experiences and is responsible for leading and managing the lighting team, overseeing all aspects of lighting for events, and ensuring all projects stay within budget.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the lighting team, including technicians and support staff.
• Collaborate with the production designer to develop and refine lighting concepts according to festival brand guidelines.
• Oversee the ordering of rental lighting equipment for events.
• Manage the lighting team during pre-production, onsite, and post-production phases.
• Negotiate quotes and terms with lighting vendors.
• Work with the Director of Elevated Experiences to maintain budget adherence.
• Coordinate the setup, programming, and testing of lighting systems during load-in.
• Assist the BOH Manager in creating the power plot.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in lighting design and project management for live events.
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting systems, equipment, and software.
• Leadership experience in managing a lighting team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing event dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
