Sr. Manager, Participations & Residuals
The Role
ITV Studios America is currently seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and experienced Senior Manager to join the ITV Studios America Finance team. This position is a key member in our finance department and will interact with various departments such as Accounting, Production Finance, Global Distribution, and Business Affairs to facilitate participation reporting and statements.
This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is based in North Hollywood, CA.
Responsibilities include:
Working with business affairs to prepare talent set ups and deal summaries.
Plan, prepare, and forecast statements as a part of the participations process.
Coordinate and communicate with outsourced residuals partners to ensure timely setups as well as timely processing of residual payments.
Support audit requests for both external, guild, and internal audits.
Liaising with our external partner on residual reporting.
Partner with corporate accounting teams to ensure accurate monthly reporting.
Partnering with finance on deal analysis and modelling for future business opportunities.
Partner with accounting and finance to update ultimate estimates for participations and residuals.
Review monthly and quarterly residual payments with Senior Leadership and delegate and ensure questions are addressed as needed.
Prepare contractual accounting statements to talent and producers.
Review, analyze, and reconcile statements to ledgers for accuracy.
Utilize various systems and ledgers across the company
Communicate effectively with various business units and management to obtain required information.
Provide documents to support Participation audit.
Work with guilds to resolve various claims that arise, escalating to Senior Leadership as needed
Participate in and/or lead all aspects of testing and implementation of various system enhancements and as part of larger ERP and Residuals system projects.
Basic Qualifications
8 years of related industry experience required, including deep knowledge of television finance and the participations process.
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred, a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area a plus
A strong understanding of Participations
Knowledge of residuals is a plus
Ability to interpret and apply talent contracts and/or collective bargaining agreements
Self-starter, proactive, and analytical
Possess critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to multitask and ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong Excel knowledge to create and maintain various analytical spreadsheets
Strong interpersonal and managerial skills for leading a team and interacting with other internal and external guilds
Excellent project management and record tracking skills
Strong technical and analytical skills
Compensation & Benefits
The pay scale for this role is $150,000 to $165,000 annually, with bonus potential, and full benefits including paid time off and 401(k) match. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including office location, skills, and experience.
