Vice President, Production Finance
ITV America is looking for a Vice President of Production Finance to support the production function across ITVA's expanding unscripted TV labels when it comes to production accounting, budgeting and reporting.
The position reports to the SVP, Production Finance and is based in North Hollywood, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the production accounting function on projects during the development and post- production phase (before series accountants are hired and after they leave the show), including creating payment schedules, processing payroll, preparing cost projections and related reporting.
Create preliminary budgets for projects in development, including mini-Writers' Rooms.
Interface with the Business Affairs and Finance teams to ensure that all costs and payments are accounted for and transferred appropriately when a project moves from development to production.
Liaise with show accountants on all projects in production and review cost reports to ensure production accountants are issuing cost reports in a timely and accurate manner to support network billing
Review production funding requests against projected cashflows and ensure funding on the production trial balance reconciles with ITV's records.
Maintain/obtain up to date production calendars, particularly around network delivery schedules, to ensure ITV recognizes revenue in the correct accounting period.
Manage all tax credit processes to ensure the relevant tax agency receives submissions promptly and that ITV successfully receives any cash due, including managing any audits related thereto.
Manage any network accounting audit requests to ensure a smooth process and confirm that audit holdback funds are released promptly.
Perform ad hoc analyses as needed, including potential push costs, COVID-19 related costs, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years' experience in scripted television as a production accountant or in relevant studio, network or streaming production accounting/finance positions.
Proficiency in Movie Magic budgeting, PSL, Vista, and Ease.
Strong computer skills and computer skills (Google Mail, Google Docs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Experience working with union & non union crews
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, positive, team-oriented environment.
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment whether independently or in collaboration with inhouse colleagues.
Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
