This is a Full Time Job
As a member of the Podcast Marketing team, the Marketing Manager will work to grow podcast audiences by supporting launches, existing titles and related marketing initiatives. The Podcast Marketing Manager will work in close collaboration with the Podcast Marketing Directors to develop go-to-market promotional plans, support in-house media planning, collaborate in buying activation, assist in communication with third-party podcast platforms, and prepare performance reporting.
This is a hybrid opportunity with a strong preference for candidates based in New York City.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Campaign Development & Management:
• Work closely with the Directors, Podcast Marketing to build go-to-market plans for both new and existing podcasts with an emphasis on audience development
• Help identify listener acquisition, recirculation and engagement opportunities within both the Audacy ecosystem and on external platforms
• Manage internal promo process, including vetting and creative trafficking
• Assist in the coordination of podcast promotion with third-party podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.)
• Work cross-functionally with Audacy teams to implement strategic, multi-platform marketing campaigns around podcast launches and other major initiatives
• As relevant, support holistic paid media efforts, including planning, activation/optimization and reporting
Copy, Promo and Creative Support:
• Assist in production of creative briefs that clearly identify the target audience and describe the content
• Coordinate with internal creative teams to develop visual identity and generate supporting assets such as audio, video, and visual creative - customized to channel - to drive action
• Collaborate with the internal and external programming teams to build copy, series descriptions, etc. and keyword strategies that optimize discovery
Communication and Collaboration:
• Able to managing multiple brands and vendors simultaneously
• Maintain clear communication systems across internal and external stakeholders
Performance Analysis & Tracking:
• Utilize data analytics to measure and optimize marketing effectiveness
• Maintain consistent reporting on delivered promotional value per partner
• Prepare regular performance updates on promotional efforts
• Remain abreast of industry trends, and consider how Audacy can meaningfully evolve marketing efforts to meet new opportunities in the market
Qualifications
Required:
• 3-5 years experience in title marketing, preferably in podcasts
• Passion for podcasts and entertainment content
• Strong critical thinking skills and an ability to make informed decisions based on data and business goals
• Collaborative, communicative and informative
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
Preferred:
• Experience in a media planning role, with knowledge of entertainment content and audio buying
• Demonstrated understanding of digital media planning, buying, activation and analytics
Additional Information
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated starting salary range for New York based individuals expressing interest in this position is $65,000-85,000 annually.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
