This is a Part Time Job
The Colorado Rockies are looking for someone passionate about human resources to serve as an assistant to the Human Resources team. This role will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and assist with compliance, audits, employee onboarding, recruitment, file management, data entry, and project management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other vital details.
• Assist the talent acquisition team in scheduling interviews, resume reviews, phone screenings, and updating the requisition data.
• Champion the employee onboarding process for all W2 employees.
• Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes and ensure accurate documentation is loaded on each employee record.
• Scan and maintain employee records in the HR system.
• Draft and disseminate company-wide communications from the HR team.
• Conduct and assist with record audits and mandatory reports, including I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• Preferred professional experience as an assistant or relevant administrative role.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Labor Relations/Social Science (Psychology/Sociology/Anthropology), Business Administration, and/or combination of equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, analytical, and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), HRIS software, or related tools.
• Proficient with computer technology, photocopiers, scanners, and other physical computer equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Consistent, punctual, and regular in-person attendance.
• Effective communicator and able to interact well with senior leadership.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred
Physical Requirements:
• This position sits at Coors field and is mostly sedentary in a traditional in-office setting. Must be comfortable to spend the majority of a workday on a computer and using a scanner.
• Walking around a large ballpark for meetings and events.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Schedule can be five hours a day for five days a week or 6.25 hours a day for four days a week.
COMPENSATION RANGE:
• $25 per hour. This is a temporary status, part-time position not eligible for all company benefits.
• This position is eligible for certain benefits including: 401K, game tickets, paid sick time, and paid family leave.
