Job Overview
The Graphic Design Intern will work within the Creative Services department to support promotional asset creation relevant to promotional campaigns, membership/fundraising, and branded collateral for upcoming initiatives. This position will collaborate significantly with Creative and Marketing teams to further enhance and develop the visual communications for the organization.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
• Support the Art Director and design colleagues in the Creative Services department by creating graphic elements to enhance visual communication through multi-platform creative content
• Provide design and production support for a variety of digital collateral, including digital ads and graphics, invitations, banners, publication ads, branded items, web experiences, and more
• Illustrate concepts and approaches during the project exploration phase
• Collaborate with team members to ensure proper application of brand standards across on-air, print, and digital content
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or currently pursuing a Design degree
• Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, as shown in portfolio
• Solid understanding of design principles and standards for print, digital, and social media implementation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Acrobat, and Google Docs
• Experience with Figma (desired)
Requirements:
• At least 18 years of age
• Available for a minimum of 20, but no more than 40 hours per week
• Reliable transportation for travel to in-person meetings and events
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
The working conditions are primarily in a telecommuting setting. However, the position will require occasional meetings in our Burbank, CA or Costa Mesa, CA office or a nearby venue. Depending on the position, job duties, and subject to the discretion of the company, the position may be telecommuting eligible in whole or in part.
