Director, Content Operations & Strategy Job Details | Lionsgate
Summary of Position
The role of Director on the Lionsgate’s Content Operations & Strategy team is a crucial one to the global commercialization of Lionsgate’s expansive catalog. This role directs Lionsgate’s global content platform avails, ensuring on-time publishing and integrity of Lionsgate’s distributed feature and television titles, as well as metadata maintenance and governance.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate with IT and various internal teams to identify better practices for content supply chain management, including rights and avails, metadata storage, identifiers, digital asset management (DAM), data warehousing, and delivery data model automation.
• Strategize uses for expansion of SAP in digital supply chain operations.
• Manage implementation of and enhancements to the MediaMorph StudioConnect availing tool, establish process for integration into Lionsgate workflows, and train team members on how to use efficiently.
• Oversee avails for digital transactional accounts and e-blasts for digital and packaged retailers; partner closely with SVOD/AVOD content operations team members for availing & order process advisement.
• Coordinate Lionsgate Content Identification (EIDR) registration process and explore opportunities for further upstream integration.
• Build and deliver Apple bundle XML packages worldwide.
• Represent Lionsgate at digital trade organization cross-eco-system meetings, influence industry standards based on Lionsgate needs, and translate approved specifications to Lionsgate models.
• Partner with sales teams for promotion / bundle ideas and customer acquisition strategy, and participate in weekly meetings with Sales and Sales Planning teams regarding title specific benchmarks and industry-wide trends.
• Central contact across business units for data management and system support for SAP and Lionsgate Link.
• Operational lead for Lionsgate’s cloud-based distribution initiative, installing and mapping metadata structure for future-state content deliveries via Ateliere MAM.
• Ad Hoc projects as needed
Qualifications and Skills
• Advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 7 years’ experience working in a similar capacity (content or technical operations focusing in media)
• Experience working with SAP and similar systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Ability and proven track record of managing a high-functioning team
