Manager, Benefits Job Details | Lionsgate
Summary of Position
The Benefits Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of health and welfare benefit programs. This position will manage eligibility, employee inquiries, invoicing, budgeting, communication, and regulatory compliance in addition to conducting periodic utilization and costing analysis.
Responsibilities
• Administer employee benefits, leave of absence, and workers' comp and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
• Facilitate annual Open Enrollment, as well as, review and approve all elections and ensure data is properly sent to the carriers.
• Manage companywide Wellness Program including programming, communication, and strategy.
• Develop communication associated with all benefit plan and leave activities.
• Proactively manage ACA and IRS filing requirements and communications to plan participants.
• Participate in the vendor evaluation, selection process and manage and maintain vendor relationships.
• Work with broker to review the annual renewal planning to ensure company is offering competitive benefits while minimizing costs.
• Point person for handling routine benefits, leave, and workers' compensation questions from employees
• Resolve complex and escalated benefit and leave issues.
• Compile data for benefit and wellness surveys and other projects.
• Oversee reconciliation of all health care invoices.
Qualificationsand Skills
• Five plus years of benefits administration.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of state and federal regulations relating to benefit plans and all applicable laws relating to benefit administration (including FMLA, COBRA, HIPPA, and ERISA).
• Ability to solve complex issues involving new or changing situations.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously; using skills and business knowledge to effectively organize and prioritize activities to successfully meet deadlines and budget targets.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels, both internal and external.
• Ability to organize and analyze data to recommend and support business decisions.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders including, but not limited to, employees, co-workers, management, and vendors.
• Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest degree of integrity.
• Ability to work independently.
