Director – Venue Development Communications
THE ROLE
The Director of Development Communications will support communications efforts for Live Nation's venue development initiatives. This role is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing local, regional and national communications strategies that support the planning, design and construction of new venues in Venue Nation's diverse portfolio. The position will highlight the company's innovative approach to development, showcase the expertise of its in-house design and development studio and emphasize its commitment to delivering exceptional live experiences.
Reporting to the Global Vice President of Venue Development Communications, this role will support media relations and innovative storytelling through social media and integrated marketing communications campaigns.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Support comprehensive communications strategies for the entire life cycle of a new venue from partnership bidding to grand opening.
• Create and execute creative and engaging campaigns for venue openings, including media campaigns, social media content strategy, and influencer and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop communications and creative content to educate communities and fans regarding venue projects and benefits.
• Collaborate with design teams to produce compelling visuals for storytelling, including graphics, animations, and videos.
• Manage multiple aspects of communications programs including project management, campaign tracking and analytics reporting.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key global, national, and regional media outlets.
• Craft and maintain key messages, including talking points, presentations, website copy, pitches, and media alerts.
• Coordinate with agency partners and consultants to ensure cohesive communication efforts.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a Related field from an accredited university
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Communications, Public Relations and/or Social Media
• Proven track record in creating comprehensive communications strategies, including digital storytelling.
• Experience working for a publicly traded company is preferred, entertainment industry experience is a plus.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly and concisely.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to rapidly changing business needs.
• Positive attitude and high value for collaboration and teamwork.
• Ability to work flexibly including occasional evening and weekend hours, based on the natural needs of business operations with concerts and events.
• Frequent travel is required to help support new venue projects.
