THE POSITION – PRODUCTION INTERN
As a production intern, you will focus on supporting & collaborating with the Director of Production and the Production Department. This position will be a hands-on experience in an exciting, fast-paced setting.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Must ensure a positive and creative environment for the Production Department.
• Facilitate proper interdepartmental communication and organization.
• Assist and support all production department personnel with job functions as needed.
• Maintain regular communications with Director of Production.
• Attend production meeting as outlined by the Director of Production.
• Work with the department in scheduling runners and runner vehicles.
• Assist with expense and cost management of Production Department and Shows.
• Contribute to the Advance, Costing, and Producing of shows.
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of all CBA's (collective bargaining agreements) in the region.
• Be onsite for engagements as necessary to assist the Production Department as required.
• Duties as assigned by the Production Department.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Develop communication skills with co-workers, customers, and clients.
• Learn to manage your time in a fast-paced world with time sensitive deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for
• Junior or Senior standing
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and carrying 50+ lbs. and occasional sitting.
This program is during Spring 2025.
