THE JOB
Live Nation Concerts is seeking a Lodging Director to oversee the company's hotel and lodging operations for its destination events. We produce intimate and exclusive experiences where everyone's a VIP and no detail is overlooked. The ideal candidate should be a great communicator, possess excellent organizational skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately. Extensive experience managing large-scale hotel procurement, rooming lists, and inventory control is essential. The successful candidate will join our expert team of passionate travel and music enthusiasts.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Manage relationships and communicate with premier hotel partners, ensuring a premium experience for the hotel, our guests, and our team
• Oversee the entire lodging department, both in advance and on-site at all events
• Oversee hotel procurement, contracting, and inventory for all company business
• Manage contract and addendum execution with the legal department
• Oversee all guest lodging, artist lodging, and staff lodging for events
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate hotel inventory and data across multiple departments and systems
• Manage lodging budget projections for the duration of each contract
• Lead a weekly review process to assess potential risk for each event. Review any concerns with the leadership team and coordinate with internal lodging and ticketing staff to execute any actionable plans resulting from the review process.
• Oversee the inventory reduction process:
• Work with Lodging Manager to calculate suggested reductions according to the reduction schedule for each hotel / event
• Once the reduction plan is approved by the leadership team, ensure that reductions are communicated and confirmed with resort partners.
• Accountable for ensuring all reductions are submitted according to contractual timelines
• Accountable for ensuring all reductions are structured in order to minimize risk and attrition.
• Oversee guest rooming list builds, correspondence, and change reports with all hotel partners
• On-site during events
• Hire and train the onsite freelance team, overseeing schedules and total hours worked
• Oversee the coordination of special requests, changes, and escalations with internal teams and all hotel partners
• Oversee and participate in management of lodging escalations with hotel and internal teams
• Oversee the crosscheck and verification process of guest hotel confirmation lists
• Oversee team members dedicated to staff and artist lodging to ensure that all staff and artist lodging needs are met in a timely and accurate manner
• Oversee all lodging payments before, during, and after the event for each hotel. Ensure that lodging staff processes all hotel payments are made according to contracted payment schedule
• Oversee the hotel settlement process with each hotel partner. Ensure that all event / hotel settlements happen in a timely and accurate fashion
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• 5+ years of experience with hotel contracting and inventory management
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or comparable work experience
• Strong knowledge of the hotel industry
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) with a high proficiency in Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and very strong attention to detail
• Ability to complete tasks and assignments in a timely manner while managing your own workload and day-to-day schedule
• Ability to maintain, control, and communicate deadlines, roadblocks, and escalations as needed
• Ability to provide leadership, prioritize, organize, motivate, problem solve, and delegate
• Willingness to adopt new project management tools and communication platforms as used by the company
• Willingness to travel and be onsite for several events throughout the year
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus, but not required
The expected compensation for this position in Colorado is:
$100,000.00 USD - $125,000.00 USD
