Part Time Paid Internship
Angels Entertainment and Production is seeking a motivated, qualified intern to assist with video control room operations for Angel games and outside events at Angel Stadium. Opportunities and experience will also include the use of production equipment while being exposed to video control room functions for both game days and events. The intern will be providing support to the Angels Production management by performing tasks necessary to fulfill sponsorship, marketing, and special events requirements. This is an excellent chance to learn the skills necessary to work for a professional sports team and gain valuable insight on working in sports, entertainment, video production and live events. This internship is scheduled to run from mid/late June 2024 through late October 2024.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $16.00/hr. This position is also eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment). Interns are also eligible for perks such as game tickets, early office closure pay, merchandise discounts and more.
Position Responsibilities
• Assist in the coordination and execution of live production elements for all Angel games and stadium events.
• Help maintain production equipment and gear.
• Learn and work control room video positions.
• Assist with camera setup and strike.
• Assist with video board graphics.
• Assist with Special Events video and graphic content loading.
• Responsible for control room general upkeep.
• Assist with pregame on field ceremonies as needed.
• Assist with content loading of multiple video production platforms.
• Administrative assistant to production management.
Qualifications:
• Interest and experience in event production, broadcast, and live entertainment is a must.
• Previous experience with general control room video equipment strongly preferred.
• Interest in control room logistics and/or video engineering preferred, but not required.
• Experience working in a project-based environment with emphasis on meeting deadlines.
• Must have outstanding communication skills and provide quick and professional responses in any situation.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and courteous. Good listening skills and ability to work with brief instruction.
• Must be creative and willing to learn.
• Knowledge of the game of baseball is preferred.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Ability to think strategically and problem solve quickly under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple projects.
• Excellent leadership qualities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong emphasis in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings (weekends, weekdays, nights, and holidays).
• Must be available for all Angels home games.
• High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in film, Radio/TV, marketing, entertainment, broadcast, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Advanced System Knowledge & Skills:
• Ross switchers, Xpression, and Kiva.
• Daktronics Show Control, content studio, All-Sport, Dak Stats.
• EVS Replay, and IP Director.
• Ikegami camera systems.
• Adobe Creative Suite.
We are willing to train the right candidate with experience in similar equipment to what is listed above.
Physical Demands
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to traverse office and stadium frequently
• Ability to work in inclement weather (when in stadium)
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
