Title: Japanese Interpreter

The Japanese Interpreter will assist in verbal and written translation for Japanese-speaking players.
Job Functions:
• Provide Japanese translation for all workouts and games
• Assist with interpreting verbal and written information from Player Development staff to Japanese-speaking players
• Assisting Japanese-speaking players with cultural acclimation process
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Bilingual and bi-literate in Japanese/English required
• Work experience providing translation services in sports, entertainment or a related industry is preferred
• Familiarity understanding the variations of cultural context and nuances from Japan
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential matters with sensitivity and discretion
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work a varied schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
