Title: Manager, Promotions & Procurement
Department: Marketing, Communications & Broadcasting
Status: Full-Time
Reports to: Vice President, Digital & Advertising Strategy
The Manager, Promotions & Procurement reports to and assists the VP, Digital & Advertising Strategy in all areas of coordinating & procurement for stadium wide giveaways, special event ticket packs, and other needs within the procurement space.
Job Functions:
• Source, design, order, and fulfill all promotional giveaway items including theme/ticket pack night premiums.
• Create vendor bid list for cost analysis, working closely with Procurement department leadership.
• Manage giveaway expenses including the production and distribution of monthly reports to department leadership.
• Proactively monitor order quantities and production timelines to ensure the ability to efficiently adjust order quantities throughout the sales cycle.
• Execute purchase agreement contracts, working closely with Marketing & Legal teams to dictate and review business deal points.
• Manage and coordinate the process of giveaways, from sourcing to graphic design commission to giveaway logistics.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders within Marketing, Ticketing, Business Strategy & Analytics, and Sponsorship to execute season-long schedule of giveaways and special event initiatives.
• Secure third-party approvals and internal creative approvals as needed.
• Negotiate best possible rates with third party vendors, and oversee production and delivery process to ensure on-time delivery of all giveaway items.
• Ideate around additional giveaway and special event opportunities to grow the Dodgers’ business and appeal to new fanbases.
Requirements and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum three year’s work experience in sports in the area of promotions and procurement.
• Proven skills in cost analysis, negotiation, and large-scale production management.
• Deeply organized with experience managing a large budget.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Must have demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize and be extremely detail-oriented with high ability to multi-task.
• The ideal candidate should be motivated, professional and demonstrate outstanding initiative
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
