Reports to: Vice President, Government Affairs & Community Relations
The Government Affairs & Community Relations Specialist works on Dodgers' government affairs and neighborhood initiatives. Responsibilities include managing the neighborhood newsletter, ticket distribution programs, and collaborations with government agencies. This role involves organizing pregame elements for community-related events, tracking legislative changes, and providing research and support for government affairs initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage neighborhood ticket distribution program and CRM.
• Update the neighborhood newsletter and website.
• Support neighbor meetings by organizing spaces, supplies, and materials.
• Provide research for government-related meetings and task forces.
• Collaborate with government agencies to coordinate meetings and initiatives.
• Lead pregame elements for appreciation and community events (e.g., Firefighter Appreciation).
• Coordinate civic engagement events for stakeholders.
• Track and analyze data related to community impact initiatives.
• Prepare reports and update media guides annually.
• Assist with on-field activities and game day events.
• Manage event budgets and expenses.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Political Science, Pre-Law, or related field preferred).
• Bilingual English/Spanish (verbal and written) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in government affairs.
• Proven event management skills from ideation to execution.
• Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with community stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
