Job Title: Assistant Video Coordinator

Department: Basketball Operations

Reports to: Head Video Coordinator

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Assistant Video Coordinator is to support handling of film for the Los Angeles Lakers team, fulfilling requests from coaching staff and the GM. Additionally, this position reports to the Video Coordinator and completes a variety of other special projects and assignments, as needed by the team.

• Personal conduct on & off the court

Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities):
• Film team practices and edit film for coaches for breakdown and study
• Provide scouting film in advance
• Edit game film for coaches and supply them with needed material
• Live capture and breakdown of all home games
• Provide post-game edits, half-time edits, and teaching film
• Upload/download all game film on synergy/NBA website
• Provide game film to NBA league game officials/opposing team per NBA policy
• Setup/breakdown of video equipment after each practice
• Other duties and special projects, as assigned by coaching staff and team management

Education
(Required/ Preferred): Bachelor's degree (required)

Previous experience: A minimum of two (2) years of work experience with a major college (Division 1A or 1B) or semi-professional basketball team

Technology Capabilities:
• Knowledge of Sportscode
• Demonstrated ability to work with both Apple and PC systems
• Knowledge of Fastdraw/ Fastscout
• Ability to operate Synergy
• Facebook Live / Youtube (mp4 conversion)
• Exceptional computer skills
• Highly proficient in film editing

Knowledge, skills, abilities:
• Great multi-tasker and highly organized
• Ability to make quality decisions and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Teamwork – must be able to work well with others
• Knowledge of the game of basketball (including scouting and teamplay)
• Be available to coaching staff or GM and willing to help with any special projects and assignments

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift a min of 50lbs., stand for long periods of time, and walk significant distances on game days

Location: El Segundo, all away games, and other off-site events (as needed)

Travel: All away games
