Reports to: Director, Integrated Marketing
Collaboration: Daily collaboration across the Integrated Marketing Team; regular collaboration with Brand Strategy, Marketing Operations, Creative and Content, and Communications.
Team Overview:
Integrated Marketing develops and executes marketing strategies across multiple touchpoints, focusing on digital and social channels to drive growth and fan engagement.
Position Summary:
The Manager of International Marketing is responsible for driving global awareness of the Lakers brand and growing fandom internationally. This role promotes key marketing initiatives in priority international markets with a focus on digital and social platforms.
Essential Functions:
• Lead the planning and execution of international marketing plans for programs like City Edition, NBA All-Star, Christmas Day, and more.
• Collaborate with Global Corporate Partnerships to incorporate global partners into marketing campaigns.
• Develop engaging stories for fans in international markets.
• Ensure international marketing efforts align with broader brand strategies.
• Partner with Communications to integrate international media relations into marketing plans.
• Work with Creative and Marketing Operations to develop campaign assets with a focus on fan growth, engagement, and storytelling.
• Coordinate with the Business Intelligence team to report on campaign performance and apply insights to future campaigns.
Global Marketing Channels (Digital, Social, and more):
• Partner with Digital and Social teams to plan international fan growth and engagement initiatives.
• Manage agency teams to implement marketing plans across international digital and social platforms.
• Maintain awareness of international cultural trends to drive fandom.
• Collaborate with Global Corporate Partnerships to include international partners in marketing efforts.
• Research and implement opportunities across additional marketing channels to achieve international goals.
Game Day Digital and Social:
• Activate digital and social engagement during game day moments in partnership with Digital, Social, Global Corporate Partnerships, and Marketing Operations.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field; advanced education preferred.
Previous Experience:
• Minimum 5 years in marketing, with 2-3 years in international marketing.
• Proven success with global digital and social activations.
• Experience with agency management or engagement.
Technology Capabilities:
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Understanding of asset design and production for digital and social platforms.
• Proficiency with project management software (Jira, Trello, Wrike).
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Ability to deliver high-quality international marketing programs.
