The 3-time WNBA Champions Los Angeles Sparks are seeking Basketball Operations interns for the 2025 WNBA season. This internship program is a hands-on opportunity for students to build their work experience and learn the behind-the-scenes basketball operations of a WNBA team. Interns will participate in the day-to-day activities, such as assisting in practice set-up, administrative duties, game night and team attendant duties. Through all aspects of the basketball operations department, game day experiences, hands-on training, and mentorship opportunities, our goal is to provide aspiring professionals with the tools they need to launch their career in sports. This intern position will report under the direction of the VP of Basketball Operations.
This is a non-paid internship and is for individuals who will receive college credit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Set-up for daily practices, work side by side with the equipment manager
• Assist with staff and player needs
• Assist with guests attending practices
• Work clock and help on court during practices
• Participating in Team Attendant training
• Work game nights in a Team Attendant Capacity
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Attend Basketball Ops department meetings as requested
• Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Must be enrolled in a college or university
• Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree or are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
• Must provide proof that you are eligible to receive college credit
• Must present themselves in a professional manner both in-person and through written communication with Basketball Ops department, Sparks staff and players
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, lead and be detailed
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal
• Friendly, positive demeanor
• Ability to take direction and feedback
• Quick learner who is able to adapt and excel in various environments
• Results-oriented, positive, reliable and high-energy
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Reliable transportation; Some use of personal vehicle or alternative source of transportation
• Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays is a priority
• Must be available for all 2025 Season - Los Angeles Sparks home games (includes pre-season game)
EXPECTED AVAILABILITY:
• Game Days - up to 7 hours
• Practices - up to 12 hours per week
