Concept Design - The Concept Designer will work within the Design Team as part of a broader production network, to create design deliverables for production use on an animated episodic series. In this position you will create design sketches and final illustrations of characters, creatures, sets, props and vehicles based on original and existing designs to act as a guide for final asset creation. Utilize 3d software to create loose sketches of environments, props and vehicles for layout and scale check. Present designs in a 2d fashion as per the specifications of design department packaging with comprehensive detailed callouts and material/texture information. Proficiency of Adobe Photoshop required and a working understanding of Autodesk Maya and Zbrush preferred.

Storyboard Artist - The Storyboard Artist works closely with the directors to expertly convey a story through visual storytelling techniques in a 3D computer graphics environment. They work directly from the script to setup the stage and cameras in a 3D environment. It is their job to explore the possibilities of each scene, capture them as shots with a 3D camera move, and edit their work together as movies for submission to the show's story reel. Proficiency in 2D storyboarding, or comparable form and experience with using 3D animation software required.

The hiring range for Jr. Concept Designer to Sr. Concept Designer is between $61,008 to $135,850 and the hiring ranges for Assoc Storyboard Artist to Sr Storyboard Artist - $75,358 to $156,975 for this position in San Francisco is per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
