Internship: Summer/Fall (May-December)
Internship Duration: 3-6 months
Time/Days Required: 2 days per week with ongoing script coverage throughout the week
Workplace Requirements: 100% remote
Magnetic Labs opens applications for its summer/fall (May-August with option to extend September-December) internship program. Internships are only open to currently enrolled undergraduate college students and will be remote, so we welcome applicants based anywhere in the US.
Magnetic Labs, formerly 141 Entertainment, creates award-winning films and TV. We champion original voices through development, financing and production. Our films include Ingrid Goes West (Sundance, NEON), Marjorie Prime (Sundance, FilmRise), Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon (Venice, Saban), Susie Searches (TIFF, Vertical) and The Feeling That the Time for Doing Something Has Passed (Cannes, Magnolia).
Our slate is focused on bringing new perspectives to the screen through unique and dynamic productions. We are enthusiastic about stories that have something to say about modern challenges, aspirations, and anxieties.
Our internship program provides an opportunity to gain industry experience and build skills for a career in Development. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Extensive script reading and coverage
-Source new projects through IP (books, articles, podcasts)
-Research for new and existing projects on our slate
-Support team in preparation of pitch materials
-Our internships require a time commitment of 2 days per week for 3-6 months. We can support internships for class credit as requested.
