Job Title: Visual Development Artist

Description:
Marvel Studios Animation is hiring a Visual Development Artist to assist with early character art development for an animated series. As part of the creative team, the artist will collaborate closely with directors, production designers, art directors, and other leads to deliver high-quality visual assets aligned with production schedules.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and complete finished color scripts and production-ready assets within assigned deadlines
• Design and develop environment graphics and designs
• Address design fixes as requested by creative supervisors and production staff
• Troubleshoot and resolve design problems with creative leads
• Be available throughout work hours to receive briefs, notes, and attend meetings
• Communicate progress effectively with production staff
Qualifications:
• Ability to design a wide range of environments, including organic, mechanical, architectural, sci-fi, alien, historical, and contemporary settings
• Demonstrates high-level drawing and painting skills
• Solid understanding of composition, value, perspective, color, shape language, and design principles
• Proficiency in Photoshop; knowledge of other design and production software is a plus
• Knowledge of 2D and/or 3D modeling is advantageous
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
Compensation:
