We are seeking a talented Sales & Marketing Director to join our innovative team at Matrix Studios.
Matrix Studios is a 7000 sq ft warehouse located in Echo Park nearby Downtown Los Angeles. We are go-to destination for top music industry artists and professionals, offering 1 soundstage for filming on 3 wall cyc, 1 live stage for tour rehearsals, performance and events, 1 previz suite for tour design, and 2 recording studios for tracking, programming and mixing. We also host private events, listening parties, brand activations and a jam session series called ''1260 Presents.'' We are looking for experienced and ambitious people to join our team in 2024!
Position Overview:
As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for generating rentals and bookings for a full service sound stage and studio spaces for rehearsals, recording, livestreams, listening parties, private events, etc. at our Echo Park studio location. You will develop and maintain relationships with external partners to maximize promotional opportunities and achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create digital marketing plans to drive traffic to space for walkthroughs. Promote events through network and outreach to our target demographic - artists, labels, brands, podcasts, etc.
• Analyze the success in marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly based on data and feedback.
• Convert inquires and leads into bookings.
• Create and maintain marketing, materials, and specs.
• Negotiate pricing and packages.
• Contract and collect deposits and payments.
• Work with our ops team for staffing.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years proven studio or venue experience.
• Strong understanding of the music industry and current trends in marketing and promotion.
• Proficiency in marketing tools and software (e.g. Social media platforms, Mailchimp)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Be motivated, creative, innovative, highly organized, detailed and multi-task oriented while working under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
• Existing network of contacts within the music industry.
• Audio/visual tech skills
Job Type:
Part-time position base plus commission
- This is a sales driven position. The right candidate will be motivated by bringing in new business and ensuring our existing clientele have an excellent customer service experience.
