Primary Responsibilities
Media Res is in search of an experienced Assistant to Post Production. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of post production, and be consistent, thorough, self-motivated, and be able to effectively multi-task and anticipate needs of the department. The candidate should also have great attention to detail, great organization skills, and have the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Scheduling meetings and calls, both internally & externally
• Managing show specific calendars and trackers across the studio
• Taking notes in meetings and circulating action items across the greater team
• Assist and interface with other departments including Business Affairs, Finance, Creative and Production as needed
• Maintain department records and trackers as well as other data entry related tasks
• Coordinate travel arrangements (domestic and international) on behalf of the internal post production team as needed
• Manage phones and facilitate dial-ins / video links and conference calls
• Help build and maintain crew rosters and check availability on a regular basis
• Oversee mail deliveries, packages, couriers, and source department mail to ensure timely delivery
• Create & process expense reports for the department
• Track, maintain, and archive agreements and NDAs across all of our shows
• Send scripts and materials to prospective candidates and vendors
• Complete special projects as needed or requested
Qualifications:
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• At least 1-year experience working in entertainment as an assistant or coordinator, specifically post production and / or visual
effects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Google Suite programs
• Experience with Scenechronize, PIX, AirTable, and Evercast is a plus (but not required)
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information
• MUST have a genuine interest in working and growing in post production
• Maintain positive attitude, be proactive, and willing to be a team player
• Understanding of how to prioritize and consistently exercise great judgment
• The ability to learn and implement new tools, systems, and processes
• Great attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and have the ability to switch
