This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Internship Description:
If you are interested in the music industry and gaining hands on experience in client management Mezz Entertainment's spring internship in Artist Management and Promotion is a great opportunity for you. Through our summer internship, students will gain hands on experience managing clients and promoting clients for interviews, shows, press, and brand deals. Interns will work remotely for the duration of the internship with twice weekly teleconference meetings as well as daily communication.
Interns will:
-Promote artists to radios, podcasts, and blogs
-Book artists for shows
-Write artist biographies and promotion material
-Develop and maintain contacts throughout music and entertainment industry
-Effectively research and pitch artists for ideal brand partnerships
Qualifications and Requirements:
-Knowledge and experience with social media is a must
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong research skills
-Self directed independent workers with unmatched work ethics who enjoy being a part of a team -Hold degree or currently pursuing degree in marketing, PR, communications, music business, or similar field
-Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
-Plan to pursue a career in music/entertainment industry or public relations
Time Commitment and Location
This internship program requires a 15 hour per week commitment with flexible start and end dates based off school schedule. Meetings will be held remotely 2x a week.
Compensation and Benefits
This internship does not offer monetary compensation. We welcome passionate, excited students eligible to receive school credit or grants and will help complete all the necessary paperwork. This is not your typical internship. You are a part of the Mezz team and will be directly involved in all of our work. You don't get coffee for the artist management team, you are on the management team reaching out to contacts and promoting our artists. Your ideas are highly valued and everything you do for us is meaningful and will pay back in a one of a kind experience.
