Brief Description of the Position
Overview of the Job: Directing and coordinating support services to the facility during scheduled events. The Event Coordinator responsibilities involve monitoring staff deployments and coordinating events with the Event Manager. The Event Coordinator is expected to coordinate smaller events and to manage larger events and HEAT games in conjunction with the Event Manager. This includes, but is not limited to: preparing and disseminating event worksheets, create and manage event files, staffing for designated departments and subcontractors, coordinating physical equipment and production set up, completing event summary notes and compiling event billing. It is anticipated that the Event Coordinator will have increasing responsibility based on job performance and increased familiarity with the policies and procedures of the organization.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or equivalent; One year of experience in facility or event management, sports administration or a related field. Prior management experinces a plus, but not required. Budgeting and scheduling experience a plus. Anticipate event related needs, supervise and service events from booking to load out. Must be able to work extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Excellent communication skills, problem solving and time management is essential. CADD experience and Spanish a plus.
