Position Summary:
The Manager, Corporate Communications will be responsible for developing and managing engaging content through multiple internal and external channels, focused on employee engagement and business communications. Additionally, the Specialist will provide project coordination for communications and marketing initiatives, plan development, writing, editing, proofing, and other related communications activities. The role will ensure that our story reaches the right audiences, drives awareness for Marlins Baseball and loanDepot park events, and fosters a strong, transparent communication culture internally.
Essential Functions:
• Spearhead Corporate Communications and collaborate across departments to craft compelling communications that promote Marlins Baseball, loanDepot park events, Miami Marlins Foundation and community impact, as well as partnerships, marketing, and sales initiatives. Develop press releases, media kits, and promotional content to increase brand visibility and expand awareness.
• Ensure consistent corporate messaging across all channels, aligning with brand values, strategic objectives, and key initiatives. Work closely with leadership and the marketing department to maintain a unified voice in public-facing communications.
• Write, edit, and distribute corporate communications such as newsletters, email announcements, presentations, and reports. Develop creative and engaging content for both external and internal audiences.
• Develop and implement internal communications plans that drives company culture and connects departments and employees across the organization. Manage the dissemination of internal messages related to company initiatives, events, and updates.
• Lead internal communications campaigns to boost employee engagement, morale, and understanding of marketing initiatives. Ensure that all employees are well-informed about upcoming events, marketing priorities, and any significant corporate updates.
• Develop communication strategies and materials that promote internal events, town halls, team-building activities, and employee recognition efforts, creating excitement and participation.
• Track the effectiveness of communication efforts, both external and internal, and provide feedback and reports to senior management. Utilize data to refine and optimize future campaigns.
• Serve as member of the organization's Culture Committees and assist in the bookkeeping and coordination of events
• Oversee the official LinkedIn page, which includes drafting posts, curating a schedule, and tracking analytics.
• Serve as the communications team's day-to-day contact with third-party agencies, and provide media support for loanDepot park events and shows.
• Maintain, build, and customize media distribution lists.
• Track award opportunities, submissions and wins.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Excellent verbal, written and administrative skills
• Experience with Project Management.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Independent, self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
• Must show initiative, willingness to learn and sound decision-making skills to build and maintain professional relationships with media.
• Must be available to work on select nights and weekends.
• A strong working knowledge in Excel, Word, and Power Point required. Working knowledge of SharePoint, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and WordPress a plus.
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field required.
• Minimum of three years of Communications/PR experience required
