Paid Intern - Marketing

This is a Full Time Paid Internship

The Washington Wizards Marketing Intern is responsible for promoting the Wizards brand through a variety of projects. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities:
• Support assigned marketing projects and tasks.
• Assist with start of season needs for 2025-26.
• Contribute to copywriting of various marketing communications including newsletters, sales offers, event messaging, and brand campaigns.
• Support marketing activations and execution at Wizards events.
• Review company website to ensure accuracy of all marketing offers.
• Manage marketing department event calendar of internal and external Wizards events.
• Update department inventories (i.e. office supplies, break room, etc.).
• Prepare materials for sales and marketing events; assist with coordinating and driving Wizards events and promotions.
• Assist with fan development groups including youth, kids club, and women's initiatives.
• Build marketing plans for various grassroots marketing initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student.
• Dedicated, outgoing, hard-working, and a phenomenal teammate.
• Previous marketing experience a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; creative.
• Detail driven and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and various social media platforms.
• Reliable transportation and housing.
• Positive approach and strong team spirit.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay Rate: $17.50 USD/hour.
