The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic customer-focused, Consumer Products Retail Marketing Coordinator to join our Consumer Products and Experiences (CPE) International department based in our London office. You will have marketing and administrative duties to aid implementing consumer products and retail marketing campaigns with the primary goal to increase consumer products demand.
As the Retail Marketing Coordinator, you will collaborate internally with cross-functional teams such as the CPE product categories/commercial business, franchise, advertising, PR, content distribution, creative and brand marketing teams, as well as external partners such as licensees and retailers at all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain consumer products demand across all marketing channels.
This role will help you to acquire knowledge of the consumer products licensing industry, together with consumer and retail marketing skills, providing you with knowledge of various marketing strategies and tactics. Ultimately, you will gain a broad experience in marketing and the licensing industry, which will help contribute to your professional development in the field.
Responsibilities
• Preparing post-campaign analysis and reports for external and internal usage.
• Implementing competitions with the main licensees and retailers.
• Briefing marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, influencers, Amazon media buy) and assist the wider team to execute it.
• Assist in organising marketing and industry events, providing support as needed.
• Booking and managing with external partners character visits/meet & greets at retailers, also managing the promotion of the visits and sourcing/collecting post visits/events attendance and sales information.
• Helping to distribute marketing materials across countries.
• Collect information from different sources and teams and prepare marketing pitch presentations for internal and external usage.
• Perform market analysis and research on the competitive landscape in licensing, retail marketing, market industry trends and consumer profiles across multiple markets.
• Support the marketing and wider business CPE team with various tasks.
• Collect quantitative (product sell-through, number of guests, reach, footfall) and qualitative (images, comments, feedback) data from retail marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and utilise owned media to promote launch of new products.
• Lead coordination of competitions across multiple touchpoints, including sourcing products from licensees.
• Support with the coordination and delivery of the quarterly Global CPE Newsletter.
Requirements
• A degree in either Retail Management, Marketing, Business Studies, or any other relevant discipline is preferred.
• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
• Solid understanding of social media platforms and different marketing techniques.
• Strong market research and analytical skills.
• Comfortable with handling numerical data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Passion for the marketing and retail marketing industry and its best practices.
• Willingness to learn and understand cultural differences.
