The Role
The Production Manager for the Shorts and Alt Formats team will assist in all aspects of production: working to build schedules, payment processing, handle external/internal operation communication, and manage deliverables across all elements of the pipeline.
This role is full-time in London, England, and will report into the Creative Producer.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing the end-to-end production process for all content, from pre-production to post-production stages.
• Build strong partnerships through collaboration with both internal and external team members.
• Keep all production trackers, delivery calendars, and schedules up to date.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and propose solutions for mid-level production issues and delays.
• Monitor the progress of multiple projects simultaneously, identifying potential risks, and tracking issues for escalation to Creative Producer and/or Senior Director.
• Confidently manage deadlines and milestones with internal team and external contributors.
• Support the internal team in managing daily tasks, balancing workload, and communicating priorities in alignment to the production timelines.
• Managing episode creative production to agreed scope parameters and escalating scope concerns diligently to the Creative Producer.
• Primary point of contact to fulfill assets requests between Production and cross-functional departments across Moonbug.
• Supports team with Purchase Order creation and sending invoices for processing.
• Supports team with tracking and managing billable hours for external contributors against project budget and scope where applicable.
• Proactively identify, create, and maintain tracking documents for the team.Report key production status updates to Creative Producers and Senior Director.
• Distribute information correctly and in a timely manner.
• Identify pain points and develop new workflows to resolve them.
• Update and Maintain Asset Library.
• Ensure all projects have been logged with their corresponding metadata to Moonbug's Database.
• Manage and maintain the vendor database and information to evaluate which vendors to extend or end services per contracted date.
• Ensure all assets received from vendors are in their appropriate location for editors to access.
• Ensure all projects have met delivery specifications for the QC team and communicate the QC team's notes to the editors if any.
• Generate and send reports to all stakeholders.
• Liaise with Legal and external vendors to ensure both parties have the necessary information.
• Onboard all vendors with the appropriate information and software needed.
Requirements
• 3 years experience in Production Management in children's or YouTube programming.
• Excellent Production Management skills and a keen working knowledge of production pipelines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Exceptional time management and leadership skills.
• Must be comfortable working across multiple time zones and managing multiple projects at once.
• Must be a self-starter and have excellent teamwork skills.
• Strong note taking ability and information recall skills. Proficiency with all production management software and tools, including Monday.com, Google Suite, Microsoft.
• Self starter with the ability to learn independently.
• Open and able to adapt to feedback.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Thorough knowledge of end to end production, including expertise in post production software and workflows
Preferred Experience:
• Familiarity with the children's entertainment and/or YouTube market and audience preferences is a plus.
