Senior Manager, Communications
Location: Los Angeles, California (On-site)
Moonbug Entertainment, known for global kids' entertainment brands such as CoComelon and Blippi, is looking for a Senior Manager of Communications to lead public relations campaigns. This is a creative and dynamic role that involves collaborating with marketing teams to drive communication strategies and media coverage for Moonbug's blockbuster brands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and execute communications strategies that increase awareness and brand affinity for Moonbug properties (e.g., CoComelon, Blippi, Morphle)
• Secure impactful media coverage across campaigns, focusing on parents and caregivers
• Manage brand issues as they arise and serve as the company spokesperson
• Advise and coach executives on key decisions and public speaking engagements
• Write press materials, including messaging, press releases, scripts, and speeches
• Work closely with internal teams across content, marketing, and other departments to develop cross-functional strategies and campaigns
• Manage relationships with external business partners and lead agency partners
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Proven experience leading strategic communications campaigns for consumer news outlets
• Deep understanding of the kids' and parenting space or consumer sector
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns, especially during peak seasons
• Creative, scrappy approach to PR, delivering results with limited resources
• Passion for experimenting with new PR tactics and staying informed on current trends
• Expertise in media relations
• Strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas
Compensation:
