Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Camera Operator/Camera Team Producer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Camera Team Lead to produce high-quality content for our YouTube channel. This is a hybrid role that requires both producing and camera skills. You will be an integral part of the pre-production process, ensuring that each video meets our creative goals and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pre-Production Planning: Collaborate with the Camera Team Lead to plan all aspects of video production. This includes deciding camera placements, coordinating shoot schedules, and anticipating potential challenges.
• Camera Placement: Strategically decide where cameras should be placed to best capture the creative vision of each video.
• Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact with contractors, and vendors for each video. This includes securing permits and managing all logistical aspects related to the camera team.
• Budget Management: Oversee the budget for the camera team, ensuring that all expenditures are within the allocated budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. Tracking all budget expenses and keeping an accurate log.
• Equipment Quality Control: Conduct thorough checks on camera, lighting, and audio equipment before each shoot to ensure everything is in optimal working condition.
• Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process.
• Organization & Adaptability: Maintain a high level of organization and be able to pivot and adapt to changes on short notice.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the entire production team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
• Leadership: While leadership experience is a plus, you should be able to guide and support team members as needed.
Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of Google Sheets/Excel.
• Experience in camera operation and/or production roles.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Ability to work well within a team and support team members in achieving collective goals.
Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):
• Previous leadership experience.
• Familiarity with YouTube content creation.
• Part 107 certified
