Who are we hiring:
The Lead Flight Attendant provides the highest levels of Safety and Service to MSG Aviation’s clients, travelers, and guests consistent with applicable FAA CFR’s, ICAO Standards and MSG Aviation’s FOM while always maintaining a professional decorum. This role will report to the Senior Manager Flight attendant and provide support to all phases of cabin service/operations to ensure each flight is effectively managed and exceeds expectations. The role assists in scheduling both full time and contract Flight Attendants in coordination with Senior Manager Flight Attendant.
The Lead Flight Attendant is highly skilled in customer relations. They possess a strong ability to assess and meet the needs of others with the required attention to detail for each specific passenger. This key information will be collected and shared with the flight crew and Flight Ops.
What will you do:
• Works within MSG Aviation to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer service.
• Functions as a crew member in full coordination with the flight deck crew, maintenance, and Flight Dispatch.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of MSG Aviation FAM, including all aircraft cabin systems (environmental, galley, seating/berthing, lavs) and traveler productivity tools (communications, WIFI, entertainment).
• Communicates necessary trip information to the department on upcoming trips and reviews post-flight specifics to resolve issues and/or challenges.
• Works with the Chief Pilot and Senior Manager Flight Attendant in scheduling assigned trips and maintaining a successful and supportive work environment.
• Plans menus in coordination with executive assistants and Senior Manager Flight Attendant.
• Assist in ensuring aircraft stock room is properly equipped with all standard food and beverage items needed on a daily basis.
• Builds and maintains a list of preferred catering companies and restaurants at frequent destinations.
• Assist in vetting of all catering vendors for food/beverage safety, quality, and economics before utilizing their services. Conducts on-site audits of frequent providers on at least an annual basis. Maintains copies of Health Department inspection reports of all frequented catering providers.
• Foster a team atmosphere among the flight attendants to include an open dialogue for suggestions and informal collective experiences to be used for areas of improvement and recognition.
• Assist in scheduling Schedules, trains, and conducts initial and recurrent emergency training certification per the FOM requirements and IBAC Standard. Schedules first aid recertification. Oversees revisions to FAM.
• Assist in training qualified flight attendants to the same standard of excellence on catering, VIP service/cabin sections, specific necessary items, pre-flight/post-flight administrative duties.
• Assist in stocking and ordering of necessary service items, specific items, and passenger requested items.
• Actively participates in the company Safety Management System with the understanding it is each person’s responsibility to recognize, anticipate, and report safety related matters.
• Participates in MSG Aviation special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What do you need to succeed:
• Ten years or more of successful experience as a Flight Attendant with high profile, EHNW travelers.
• Excellent “Command Presence” in the cabin with MSG Aviation clients, travelers, and guests.
• Very effective communication and interpersonal skills with a “Team Orientation.”
• A comprehensive background and working knowledge of the Culinary Arts, Food Safety, Beverage Selection/Management, Menu Planning, and Presentation.
• Valid US Passport(s) with no foreign jurisdiction entry/exit restrictions as well as appropriate visas and foreign work permits.
• Capable of passing initial and random drug and alcohol screenings.
• Bachelors degree or progress there towards.
• Culinary Arts advance training (such as CIA or equivalent).
• Formal Flight Attendant Certification by Flight Safety or 14 CFR Part 121 Carrier or equivalent.
• Contemporaneous (within 12 months) Safety Training (MedAire, FACTS, Flight Safety).
• Emergency Medical ‘˜First Responder’ certified and current.
• A valid driver’s license. Candidate must be flexible with client and driving assignments based upon need. This requires reliable, consistent, and flexible access to a personal vehicle for which the candidate is insured to operate independently
SPECIAL Requirements:
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment
• Must be willing to relocate to Long Island, NY

Pay Range
$83,000 — $175,000 USD
