Job Title: Senior Director, Communications
Location: New York, NY
The Senior Director of Communications will lead a wide range of communications initiatives at Sphere, partnering with the Communications team to develop, plan, and execute campaigns that drive Sphere’s strategic narrative. This includes earned media efforts, reaching key audiences in the creative, music, advertising, and tech industries, as well as consumers. The role also focuses on securing thought leadership opportunities for Sphere’s executive team through interviews and speaking engagements.
What will you do?
• Partner with SVP and VP of Communications to elevate Sphere’s communications and support key business priorities
• Develop and execute communications campaigns to drive coverage of new events, initiatives, milestones, and social responsibility efforts
• Collaborate with teams across marketing, partnerships, corporate events, sales, and bookings to support business goals
• Conduct strategic media outreach to create compelling press strategies for key priorities
• Secure opportunities to elevate the profile of Sphere’s executives through speaking engagements and interviews
What do you need to succeed?
• 10 years of strategic communications and public relations experience
• Skilled in developing integrated communications plans and crisis communications
• Outstanding written communication skills
• Strong media relationships and experience executing high-profile publicity campaigns
