Who are we hiring?
MSG is looking for a S enior Director Creative Management to join a groundbreaking design department based in Los Angeles. As the content design and delivery team for all Sphere projects, we strive to create world-class experiences at an unprecedented scale for the largest LED screens ever made while developing this format into a product of the overall Sphere portfolio.
The Sr. Director will be overseeing projects related to the Exterior display of the Sphere (The Exosphere) and be responsible for managing and tracking multiple projects in design from bidding through final delivery.The Sr. Director will interface cross-departmentally with post-production, real-time software development and product management teams.
Additionally, this role will manage external vendors and/or freelancers that specialize in VFX, Motion Graphics and creative content. They are required to manage all aspects of this work stream including directing coordinators, deftly moving between the daily minutiae while reporting progress to Sr. management.
Critical to this role is having the innate foresight to identify and address future issues. This position reports to the VP, Project Management, and works closely with other key production, creative, technical and executive staff.This role needs to be flexible, and open to taking on additional test/live projects as needed.
What will you do?
• While this role manages individual projects in design, this process starts with the project's conception and continues through shooting, post and final delivery.
• Work with internal and external creative teams to deliver quality content
• Help manage vendor and partner relationships while having an ongoing understanding of their capacity and capabilities
• Acute understanding of creative advertising practices and processes
• Work with departmental production and creative staff to ensure project needs are being met, identify interdependencies and track them
• Create project budgets and schedules as needed, oftentimes working with multiple stakeholders
• Schedule cross-departmental meetings with the intention of disseminating critical project information, ending with buy off of a cohesive, budget-conscious plan
What do you need to succeed?
• College degree preferred or additional production certificate programs.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a VFX, studio, network or post-production facility Producer
• Familiarity with the creative advertising/design industry, understating basic terminology and practices
• Familiarity with a broad range of post-production software from content creation and editorial through to production management tools.
• Working knowledge of scheduling software including
• Asset Management software experience a must, working in Ftrack is a plus
• Comfortable working with multiple departments and roles spanning from entry level to Executive Management
• Excellent skills in collaboration and communication (oral and written). Must be a team player and work well under tight deadlines.
Special Requirements
• The role requires a self-directed “production-minded†work ethic helping to establish the language and medium of Sphere.
• This role will likely be directly or indirectly managing coordinator level production staff

Pay Range
$164,000 — $240,000 USD
