VFX Coordinator
Location: Burbank, CA
Job Description:
Sphere Studios is seeking a VFX Coordinator to manage and coordinate VFX production schedules and ensure successful delivery of content. The coordinator will support the VFX department in overseeing postproduction processes across various projects, including marquee attractions, immersive shows, residencies, and corporate events.
Responsibilities:
• Work with department leads and VFX Supervisors to bid on projects and manage RFPs from external vendors.
• Track and update project statuses and tasks in ShotGrid/Flow.
• Ensure all schedules and studio documents are up to date in Google Docs.
• Coordinate package deliveries and submit project information.
• Plan weekly and daily task schedules with the VFX Supervisor.
• Monitor project progress, manage technical issues, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Track project progress and communicate risks and deadlines to internal and external teams.
• Archive completed projects and document project learnings.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience: 3-5 years in VFX production (live action, animation, episodic, or immersive media), with IMDB credits.
• Skills: Proficiency in ShotGrid/Flow, task management, and scheduling.
• Preferred Experience: Knowledge of post-production software (Nuke, Premiere, Resolve, Fusion, C4D, Maya, AE), understanding of file formats and delivery protocols.
• Other Qualities: Attention to detail, organizational skills, self-starter, ability to work autonomously, and strong communication skills.
Hourly Pay Range:
$35-$45 USD per hour.
