Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

The FP&A Senior Financial Analyst candidate will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of financial reporting, analysis & budgeting; driving operating performance, and aligning decision making with the business' key performance indicators. Requires working closely with operators in a cross-functional, matrixed, and fast paced environment.


Financial Reporting, Budget Preparation and Analysis - Prepare weekly/monthly financial reporting packages addressing budget variances, cash position and status of current projects. Prepare annual operating plan, quarterly estimates and 3 year rolling plan. Prepare monthly position update for senior management.

Perform in-depth analyses on actual financial performance versus budgeted targets and versus key business drivers to include regression and correlation analyses. Extend findings to provide meaningful recommendations.

Drive Department Performance- Partner with operator management and Finance team to strengthen and implement financial tools, metrics and processes to drive operating performance. Provide financial coaching to all operating partners.

Special Projects - Lead/assist with special projects – both analytical and process improvements (i.e.: improved management reports, operational processes, etc.). Extend findings to provide meaningful recommendations.Bachelors degree in business/accounting/finance or related field.

Willingness to work overtime, and/or on weekends with short notice

Must be willing to work at the station in Universal City

Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation

Must be 18 years or older

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

MBA Preferred

Resourceful problem solver, with the ability to prioritize and create approaches to meet required objectives.

Excellent analytical abilities are required, including advanced Excel and Access skills; SAP, Comshare and/or Microstrategy knowledge a plus.

Demonstrate leadership values and ability to develop and participate in diverse/cross-functional teams.
