Compliance Associate Counsel

• Work with NBCU Compliance and Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) to manage, monitor and escalate compliance risks
• Partner with NBCU Compliance, NBCU Employment, and UDX to conduct integrity investigations
• Monitor business travel to foreign countries and prepare necessary export filings
• Assist with the implementation and management of key compliance tools, such as Gifts and Business Entertainment, as well as Conflicts of Interest
• Support and keep records for business units and functions with GBE requests to government officials, and work with NBCU Compliance and Comcast Political Affairs to obtain pre-approval
• Conduct compliance training with UDX employees, plus keep and report training records
• Support UDX Compliance Council, including, but not limited to: organizing and carrying out periodic meetings; working on the documentation of annual priorities; supporting business and functions with periodic reporting; and presenting reports to relevant stakeholders
• Assist NBCU Compliance and UDX with the review and approval of Conflicts of Interest
• Develop strategies for risk-mitigation, and shield clients from legal risks and regulatory violations, in all business transactions
• Perform complex legal research and extensive due diligence
• Manage legal demands and complaints
• Engage with colleagues in a collaborative, positive and proactive manner
• Perform other Compliance program-related responsibilities and duties, as needed
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• 2 years of Compliance or Litigation experience
• Member in good standing of the State Bar of Florida, or member in good standing of another State Bar and registered as in-house counsel

• Must have flexibility with working hours
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
