NBCUniversal - Video/Robo Operator
Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, New York
NBCUniversal is seeking a Video/Robo Operator to support the News Division. The role involves managing video operations, robotic camera controls, and collaborating with technical staff to ensure high-quality video production during live events and rehearsals.
Responsibilities:
• Set up, time, and configure camera components and video signals
• Shade cameras and color correct live feeds during events
• Perform lighting checks and manage camera switches and robotic operations
• Control multiple robotic cameras and perform multiple shots simultaneously
• Collaborate with the team to offer technical and creative solutions for live broadcasts
• Test, prepare, and route video and audio sources
• Communicate show elements during rehearsals and live productions
• Assist with the proper setup, storage, and maintenance of production equipment
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in desktop applications and databases
• Technical proficiency with the ability to multitask and learn quickly
• Must be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to work additional hours without notice and work on-site in New York City
• Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced, live TV production environment
• Strong client service and interpersonal skills
This is a NABET Union position, with a pay range of $50.00 - $70.00 per hour. The candidate must be willing to join NABET if not already a member.
