Entertainment Content is seeking a Casting Assistant to help support a late night production. This role is a temporary staff position with an end date. The expected duration of this position is 6 months.
Responsibilities:
• Work with writers to research and coordinate talent for Human Interest segments.
• Actively seek out and recruit Human Interest talent.
• Prepare and archive contracts and paperwork accordingly.
• Arrange travel and communicate with production services teams to ensure all paperwork is valid for Human Interest guests.
• Assist casting department with wrangling talent and coordinating catering.
• Coordinate with all depts for talent hair, make-up and wardrobe scheduling.
• Assist production team with scripted studio and remote segments.
• Miscellaneous research, organization and clerical duties.
• Distributing and tracking appearance releases.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of production-related experience. Previous set experience preferred but not required.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and the Slack platform.
• Must have ability to work flexible hours including late nights, early mornings and occasional weekends due to production schedules and topical news cycles.

• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, be able to maintain composure and be agreeable to last-minute changes.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Flexible, personable, self-starter, with the ability to interface with all levels of NBCU staff and show crew.
• Able to work independently as needed and learn tasks quickly.
Additional Requirements:
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

• Hourly salary range: $17.00 - $20.00
• Weekly salary range: $1,190 - $1,400
• This position is paid a weekly rate based on a typical work schedule of 60 hrs/wk. Hours over 40 hrs/wk will be paid at an overtime rate. In the event that you work more than the anticipated 60 hrs/wk, you will be paid additional overtime compensation as required by law.
