This is a Full Time Job
The Manager, of Real-Time Graphics is responsible for leading and managing personnel and projects related to on-air graphics operations, teleprompter operations, and real-time graphics operations, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards.
Job Duties:
• Acts and serves as a point of contact between upper management and staff, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Sets performance expectations, conducts ongoing performance evaluations and provides employees with pertinent feedback and coaching.
• Coordinates between graphic designers, developers, and engineers to ensure seamless integration of graphics into projects.
• Implements processes for testing and reviewing graphics for accuracy, performance, and visual appeal.
• Allocates resources effectively, including personnel and software tools, to meet project demands.
• Addresses technical challenges and troubleshoots issues that arise during the development of real-time graphics.
• Oversees projects from conception to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Remains updated on the latest tools and technologies for real-time graphics and assess their applicability to projects.
• Works under the direct supervision of the Director, Real Time Graphics, and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working with on-air graphics and teleprompter operations or related fields OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven technical and visual understanding of Real-Time Graphics.
• Exhibits knowledge of Chyron Products, VizRT products, Adobe suite, or equivalent tools.
• Exhibits thorough understanding of graphics workflows for on-air.
• Fluency in the language of on-air show packaging and insert graphic elements is a must.
• Exhibits advanced understanding of Chyron design and animation techniques.
• Exhibits advanced understanding of creating templates for Camio and LUCI.
Desired Characteristics:
• Fluent in Spanish (both written & verbal) while it's preferred, it's not essential.
• Plug-in writing skills or understanding of C++, Java, and LUA in the Chyron environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in art, or related field preferred.
• Exceptional communication, time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Self-starter who exhibits ownership of assigned tasks and who will push for solutions that solve immediate problems while building toward long-term goals.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within the organization.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and manage expectations.
• Ability to effectively be flexible in approach and respond well to pressure.
• Ability to lead and direct others, promote a positive work environment, and problem-solve.
• Process-oriented, good at identifying and implementing best practices.
• Change agent; creative and adaptable when facing challenges.

• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• As this is a critical operations position, candidate must be willing to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
• Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
• This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
