Location: 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA
NBCUniversal’s TODAY Show is hiring a Senior Producer to oversee and manage production teams from story inception through to broadcast. This position requires coordination with multiple teams, including producers, associate producers, correspondents, and external bureaus to ensure high-quality news segments. Responsibilities include pitching story ideas, supervising direct reports, reviewing scripts, and ensuring all segments adhere to editorial standards.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage production teams, including producers, associate producers, and correspondents
• Coordinate with bureaus and Network Desk regarding staffing, stories, crew schedules, and coverage
• Work with the Standards & Legal Team to ensure compliance with Editorial Standards
• Pitch story ideas and coordinate daily broadcast production
• Review and rewrite scripts as needed
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of editorial production experience, preferably at the national level with morning television
• 3+ years of leadership experience as a people manager
• Strong journalistic writing, research skills, and editorial judgment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Workplace:
Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Salary:
$170,000 - $250,000 (bonus eligible), depending on experience.
