Social Media Coordinator (Freelance)
The USA Network, SYFY and Oxygen True Crime social marketing team is seeking a socially driven freelance coordinator to support the day-to-day execution of our brand/campaign social strategies.
Responsibilities:
This person will collaborate closely with the Social Marketing team to:
• Gather, organize and schedule content to be published through owned social platforms across Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Facebook and X.
• Partner closely with the team to ensure owned social handle output aligns with established objectives and brand health needs.
• Request, track and traffic daily social deliverables in Airtable between various creative marketing teams, project managers, social freelance producers and agency partners for publishing.
• Write and edit compelling social copy for social posts across USA Network, SYFY and Oxygen as needed and within brand guidelines.
• Update and maintain various trackers covering our platform analytics, internal social audits, preview clip rollout, paid media deliverables, etc.
• Brainstorm and coordinate social content that supports marketing campaigns across USA Network, SYFY and Oxygen True Crime properties.
• Pull and analyze social content performance and social sentiment insights for reporting needs.
• Support in live social coverage of episode premiere nights such as live-tweeting, community management, sentiment tracking.
• Other administrative tasks such as attending status meetings, note taking, feedback sharing, troubleshooting, invoice submission and tracking, creative brief development and file organization.
• Potential opportunity to provide social marketing support across the other NBCU cable brands like Bravo and E! Entertainment.
Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Prior experience in the social marketing field (inclusive of internships)
• Proven experience with Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, Talkwalker, Meta Business Manager, MS Office (Powerpoint, Outlook), Adobe
• Keen understanding of the social media space, emerging tools, platform tips & tricks, and creative best practices
• Familiarity in using Airtable, Dropbox, Sharepoint and Slack
• Robust written skills and previous copywriting experience
• Well-versed in social media content creation and ideation, up to date on trends and the latest content types being created in the social / entertainment industry space.
• Availability to work long hours, weeknights and on weekends with short notice.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States
Salary/Benefits
$24.00 - 26.00 per hour
