The Role: Coordinator, Production Management - LIVE
Location: Los Angeles, California
We are seeking a production coordinator to assist with internal and third-party productions. Our team oversees all aspects of content execution from tech, pre-pro, production, and post - to the LIVE stream delivery on the Netflix platform. We cover a wide range of LIVE programming from large tent pole variety events, sports, award shows, comedy formats, unscripted, and more.
The core focus of this role is to support the Directors of LIVE in Production & Post Production. Highest priority of the job is to manage calendars, and schedules and organize meetings at a very busy desk. Additional responsibilities include creating agendas, tracking notes in meetings, overseeing multiple schedules within the LIVE team, maintaining internal and external communications to set high-priority meetings, data entry, booking travel for execs, managing expenses, coordinating offsites and specialty events for production, and more.
Together, this team is responsible for supervising all aspects of production in our global LIVE programming.
The Role:
The ideal candidate will be deeply enthusiastic and inquisitive about LIVE production planning and logistics. They should possess a proactive, adaptable approach, adept at managing multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This is a demanding position requiring someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, able to exercise good judgment and initiative while working with a high-volume production slate in a growing team environment.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage complex calendars for multiple executives including scheduling and confirming meetings both internally and externally
• Facilitate clear communication among relevant stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Collaborate closely with Coordinators within our broader UCAN team.
• Prepare comprehensive agendas and meticulously note meeting details for high-level discussions
• Complete Administrative duties around processing travel (domestically and internationally) and submit expense reports for executives
• Coordinate department activities (offsites, team building activities, etc) as well as social events for both internal & external groups when requested
• Maintain logs to track projects and their status
• Keep Netflix tools updated with the latest show information and optimize database management.
• Be the team ''master of tools'' for both internal and external systems, working on improvements and new efficiency opportunities to benefit the team's productivity
• Gathering, tracking and entering various production-related data among multiple platforms
• Support key team dynamics and processes
• Support leaders with ad hoc projects such as organizing and supporting events, preparing presentations using Google Slides, team documents (i.e.: Onboarding), databases, etc.
• Assist with the identification and curation of experienced, high quality production staff and crew
• Research and outreach to potential filming locations and studios in the US and abroad
Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience working in production management, in the field, at a network, or production company. Candidates will likely be at the Production Coordinator level equivalent outside of Netflix
• Previous experience in LIVE production is a major bonus
• Ability to comprehend and articulate in writing complex technical details discussed in meetings
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously supporting several projects in various phases of production (from evaluation to production through delivery) and courage to take educated risks while thinking outside the box while always responding in a timely manner
• Team-player who operates in a fast paced team-oriented setting
• Strong prioritization skills with a keen eye for detail
• Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly
• Genuine passion for all facets of production
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
• Proficiency in Google Applications (including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail and Drive)

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $58,000 - $230,000. This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy.
